Privacy notice

Who we are
Scorz is run by Nasser. It films the padel courts of the clubs that use Scorz (a notice at each court says so) so that players can save their best points. For any question or request about your data, write to privacy@scorz.me.
What the camera films
A camera films each court that uses Scorz, with sound, all the time while the system is on, including everyone on the court and what can be heard there. A notice at the court says so. Saved clips keep the sound; they play muted until you turn the sound on.
Scorz is for people 18 or older.
What happens to the recording
- The recording stays on a small computer at the court (the court box) and is deleted after about 15 minutes, unless someone saves a point.
- Only saved points leave the court box: a short clip, under a minute, of the moments just before someone tapped Save.
- If the club's internet is down, the court box keeps the recording on its own disk until the internet is back and every saved point has been sent, then deletes it.
Who sees a saved clip
Only the players checked in to that match on that court when the point was saved (checking in needs the code on the court's tablet) and the court's tablet. A player who checks in later gets the earlier clips only when a player of the match shares them, and any other player in a clip can take that back (a clip already downloaded can't be). Clips are not public. You always keep the clips you were in, on your profile.
The club sees how much Scorz is used, including the names of the players who saved the most points in a month, and totals such as how many new players came because of the cameras (never who answered what). We never sell your data.
What we keep about you
- The name you type, and your level if you set it. Other players in your match see your name.
- A random login code kept in your browser as a cookie (we keep only a scrambled copy of it). No password.
- Which court sessions you checked in to and when, the points you saved, which of your clips you played (once a day each), and when you shared or downloaded a clip.
- The days you used the app (one note a day, nothing about what you looked at).
- If you answer it: whether it was your first time playing at the club and, if so, what made you choose it. It is optional, asked once per club, and you can skip it. It is deleted with your profile.
- If you complete your profile: your first and last name, phone number, birth year, gender, how you play (your side and hand in padel, your position and foot in football) and the @handle you choose. All of it is optional, and only you see it, apart from your @handle on your card (next point). Your birth year and gender are for age groups and men’s or women’s competitions later, and the phone number for reaching you about a match. A handle you stop using stays yours, so nobody else can take it. We keep them until you change them or ask us to delete your profile.
- Your numbers and badges: worked out from the matches you played and the points you saved; the badges you earned and when, the ones you pinned, and the clips you chose for your showcase.
- Your card: players who played a match with you can see the name others see, your @handle, the level you chose, whether your email is proven, whether you are a Founding Player, four numbers (matches filmed, highlights, clips you saved, weeks in a row), the badges you pinned and the one you hold right now, the clips of your showcase they were in too, and your photo if you add one. Your other numbers are for you and your friends. Nobody else can open your card. If you share it as a picture, you choose where it goes.
- Your friends, if you add any: who asked whom and when, the answer, and who you blocked. Friends see your card, all your numbers, your badges and your matches (when, where, how long, how many highlights), never who else played or your clips. A player you block sees nothing of yours, and you nothing of theirs.
- If you add a photo: it is seen like your card, never on the court's tablet. A photo someone reports is hidden until we look at it.
- Challenges and open matches, if you use them: who challenged whom, the answer, the day and the result; an open match's day, hour and who joined. Players at your club see an open match's players. If you share your WhatsApp number in an accepted challenge, only its other three players see it, and we erase the number when the challenge ends or you stop sharing.
- Your internet address, for a short time, to stop abuse (for example, too many wrong check-in codes), and in our server's logs.
- When you agreed to this notice and the terms, and in which language.
The app loads nothing from other websites: no ads, no trackers.
Your email
You can join with your email, or add it later to keep your clips on any phone: we send a 6-digit code to it, and you log in anywhere with the same email and a new code. We use it to send you these codes, through our email provider (Resend), and to tell you when a court near you goes live if you join the Founding Player list (below). We keep it until you ask us to delete your profile. The codes are kept only as scrambled copies and stop working after 10 minutes. We never show your email to other players or the club.
The Founding Player list
When you sign up as a Founding Player on our homepage, or tell the app the sport you play and your area, we keep your email, that sport and your area, to email you when a court near you goes live and to count the Founding Player places. When a club asks us to call back, we keep the name, the club and the phone number it gives us, to call. We don't use them for anything else and never share them. Write to us to have them deleted.
Where it is stored
Saved clips are stored with our cloud storage provider (Cloudflare R2), and everything else on our server. Links to a clip work only for about an hour and are given only to the people who may see it.
How long we keep it
Saved clips and your profile are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until we set a time limit for old clips, which this notice will then describe.
Your choices
Write to privacy@scorz.me to get a copy of what we keep about you, with links to your clips, to correct it, or to have your profile and clips deleted, at once or in 14 days (you can change your mind until then). Tell us your name and the court and day you played, so we can find you. Downloading and deleting from inside the app come later.
